Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Alexander I of Serbia facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The circular Cyrillic legend reads along the upper periphery and right field, identifying the subject as King of Serbia. The engraver's signature LAGRANGE appears incuse along the lower rim beneath the truncation. The portrait reflects the youthful appearance of the teenage monarch, executed in a refined French medallic style consistent with the work of Jean Lagrange.
