Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of King Vima Kadphises standing, bearded and clad in royal Kushan costume with decorative necklace, his head crowned; the king holds a long sceptre or staff in his left hand and makes an offering gesture with his right hand over a flaming altar to his left. Two globes or large orbs flank his legs, with a sword hilt visible at lower left and additional regalia at lower right. A circular Greek legend surrounds the figure in the field.
