| Obverse description | Draped bust of Louis Constantine of Rohan facing right, wearing ecclesiastical robes and a bishop's mitre, his long curled wig flowing behind. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail characteristic of 18th-century French medallic art. A decorative rosette appears at the truncation of the bust. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the portrait and runs along the beaded border. |
