Obverse description Central device depicts the conch shell (shankha), the royal emblem of Travancore, rendered in a stylized manner with scrollwork and flanking decorative elements. The conch is surmounted by a crown and accompanied by small pellet ornaments on either side. The entire design is set within a beaded border encircling the coin's field. The execution reflects the hand-struck hammered style typical of early nineteenth-century Travancore coinage.

Reverse description The reverse displays a stylized crowned conch shell (shankha) at center, the dynastic emblem of the Travancore rajas, rendered in relief within an oval frame. Beneath the conch appears the Malayalam numeral date ൧൦൦൫ (Malayalam Era 1005, corresponding to 1830 CE). The design is enclosed within a continuous beaded border. The engraving style is characteristic of the small hammered silver issues of Travancore from the reign of Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma.
