| Obverse description | Central device depicting the sacred sankha (conch shell) of Travancore, rendered in high relief and enclosed within a raised circular border. The conch shell is shown in profile facing left, with fine detailing on its spiral form. Flanking the central circle on either side are decorative floral and foliate sprays arranged symmetrically, extending toward the milled rim. The overall composition is formal and heraldic in character, consistent with the traditional coinage of the Travancore princely state. |
