| Reverse description | The reverse repeats the same design as the obverse: the denomination '2c' appears prominently in the upper field, with the Royal Mint's Tower of London emblem set within a rectangular rounded-corner cartouche at centre. The fortified device shows two bell towers surmounted by crosses flanking a crenellated keep, with cross motifs also visible at the tower bases. The flat, unmarked field surrounding the device is characteristic of a trial or test striking produced at the Royal Mint to assess planchet specifications. |
