| Additional information |
Magdalena was one of several Colombian states that briefly pursued local coinage authority in the late nineteenth century, a period when regional governments frequently clashed with Bogotá over fiscal control. Pattern issues from these states rarely advanced to circulation strikes — most were submitted as proposals and quietly shelved. The X#6 designation places this squarely in the pattern and trial piece record rather than any authorized series.
KM#Pn29f suggests multiple die or metal trials exist for this type, making attribution to a specific submission round difficult without die study.
