Reverse description Central square hole flanked by plain inner and outer raised rims. A single crescent-shaped mark (lunette) is positioned above the square hole, oriented with the concave face downward toward the aperture. The remainder of the reverse field is blank, unadorned, and typical of Song dynasty cast coinage. The crescent serves as a mint or batch control mark.
