| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square hole (穿) bordered by a raised inner rim. Two Chinese characters, 北平 (Běi Píng), are positioned horizontally flanking the central perforation — one character to the left and one to the right — identifying the Beiping mint. The characters are rendered in regular script in low to moderate relief. The outer rim is plain and slightly raised, consistent with standard early Ming cast coinage. The field shows natural casting texture with minor surface granularity. |
