Obverse description Round cast brass coin with a central square hole, typical of Chinese cash coinage. The obverse bears the four-character reign title inscription 崇禎通寶 (Chóngzhēn Tōngbǎo) arranged in the traditional format: top-bottom-right-left reading sequence around the square perforation. The characters are rendered in regular script (楷書) with bold, well-defined strokes set against a flat, unadorned field. The coin presents a wide, flat rim characteristic of the southern-type Chongzhen issues.
