| Obverse description | Central device features the Este dynastic eagle displayed, wings spread, surmounted by a ducal crown at the top of the field. The eagle is rendered in a heraldic style with detailed feathering and talons visible in the lower portion. The entire design is contained within a raised beaded border encircling the coin's perimeter. No peripheral legend appears on this face; the composition is dominated entirely by the armorial eagle device. The date of issue is incorporated into the field flanking the eagle. |
