Obverse description Two adjacent heraldic shields of the abbeys of Murbach and Lüders displayed side by side within a beaded inner circle, the date appearing above and the denomination numeral '2' enclosed in a small circle at the base between the shields. The left shield bears a lion rampant, the right shield displays a sheaf of grain. The circumferential legend reads MONETA.NOVA.MVR:ET.LVDR around the periphery within a beaded border.

Reverse description Full-length figure of Saint Leodegar (Léger), patron saint of the abbeys, depicted standing facing, wearing episcopal vestments including a mitre and holding a crozier in his left hand; the saint is rendered in a stylized late medieval manner within a beaded inner circle. The legend surrounding the figure reads S·LEODARIUS (or similar), identifying the saint, separated by a small star or rosette.
