Reverse description Central design features the Romanian princely coat of arms — a quartered shield displaying the eagle of Wallachia, the aurochs head of Moldavia, the Banat dolphin, and the lion of Oltenia — surmounted by a royal crown and supported by two rampant lions, the whole set within a draped and crowned heraldic mantle. The motto ribbon below the shield bears the legend NIHIL SINE DEO. The date is divided on either side of the central arms (18 to the left, 80 to the right), the mint mark B appears at lower left, and the denomination 2 BANI is inscribed at the bottom. The country name ROMANIA arcs along the upper legend, and the rim is bordered by a continuous beaded circle.
