Obverse description The obverse depicts an allegorical scene set against a radiant glory emanating from the Eye of Providence at the top of the field. Two seated figures, representing the Church, are shown flanking a central architectural element resembling a papal basilica or tempietto; the figure on the left holds the Keys of Saint Peter, while the draped figure on the right reclines in a pose of supplication or adoration. The entire composition rests upon clouds, evoking a heavenly or divine setting. The coin's border is formed by a continuous inner toothed or beaded rim. No legend appears on this face, the imagery itself conveying papal authority and divine sanction.
