Issued to mark the 80th anniversary of Thai Scouting, which was founded in 1911 by Rama VI — himself influenced directly by Robert Baden-Powell's movement after the two met during a royal tour. The program became unusually prominent in Thailand compared to most Southeast Asian nations, with membership eventually running into the millions and institutional backing from the monarchy at every successive reign.
