Obverse description Uniformed bust of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn facing slightly left, depicted in military dress adorned with decorative epaulettes and a ceremonial collar, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture detail. A circular Thai-script legend surrounds the effigy along the periphery, reading from the lower left, across the base, and up the right side of the field.

Reverse description Central device depicting the royal cipher of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn surmounted by a tiered spired crown, all surrounded by radiating flame-like rays in traditional Thai artistic style. The denomination '๒ บาท' (2 Baht) appears in Thai numerals and script flanking the central device at lower left and right respectively, with the country name 'ประเทศไทย' (Thailand) inscribed along the lower periphery. A curved Thai-script commemorative legend arcs around the upper portion of the field, recording the occasion of the Prince's 36th birthday on 28 July 2531 (1988).
