Obverse description Central field bears the Devanagari legend सा गा, an abbreviated royal cypher for Sayaji Rao III, Gaekwad ruler of Baroda, rendered in bold angular characters occupying most of the coin's face. The script is enclosed within a plain circular border, with the lettering deeply struck in a characteristically utilitarian style typical of Baroda Mint issues of this period. No effigy or figural motif is present; the design is entirely epigraphic.

Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination inscription in Devanagari numerals and text reading २ आणा (2 Annas), accompanied by a Vikram Samvat date in Devanagari numerals, all contained within a plain circular border. The field is otherwise plain, with minimal ornamental devices, consistent with the austere minting practice of the Baroda State issues of the late nineteenth century. The legends are boldly struck and centered within the available field.
