Obverse description Central quartered coat of arms of Hanau-Münzenberg displayed within an ornate baroque cartouche, featuring in the four quarters a cross, a lion rampant, three lions passant, and a checky pattern, with additional heraldic elements at the center point. The shield is surrounded by elaborate scrollwork and foliate ornamentation. The entire design is set within a beaded border with a milled edge, characteristic of mid-eighteenth-century German coinage.
