| Reverse description | The reverse carries a multi-line Arabic and Persian calligraphic inscription spread across the coin field in flowing nasta'liq script, without an enclosing cartouche. The legend records the ruler's name and title, the mint name Kirmān (Kermān), and the regnal year. The inscription fills the flan to its irregular margins, consistent with the hand-struck production technique of Zand-period silver coinage. The strike is bold though slightly uneven, reflecting the artisanal character of eighteenth-century Iranian hammered coinage. |
