Obverse description The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script, arranged in three horizontal registers divided by two parallel raised lines. The inscription is deeply struck in bold relief against a finely granulated background, with floral and foliate ornamental motifs filling the marginal spaces. The calligraphy is characteristic of the Zand period hammered coinage, displaying fluid, sweeping letterforms typical of 18th-century Iranian mint production.
