| Obverse description | Central device depicts the coat of arms of Angola, comprising a quartered shield set within a Portuguese armillary sphere. The shield displays the traditional Portuguese quinas in the dexter quarters alongside a bull passant and a rhinoceros in the sinister quarters, with wavy lines in base representing water. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown.
