Reverse description A large, full-leafed fruit-bearing tree, symbolising the flourishing of learning, stands at centre in a landscape setting with a low horizon line and subtle groundwork. The motto legend 'VT CAPIANT FRVCTUS' arcs along the upper border within the toothed rim. Below the tree, a recessed rectangular panel contains a four-line Latin inscription commemorating the inauguration of the Georgia Augusta University at Göttingen on 17 September 1737.
