| Reverse description | Central shield of the Schlick family arms, displayed within an ornate laurel wreath cartouche, surrounded by four heraldic quarterings arranged in a cruciform pattern: the striped arms of Schlick (upper left), a rampant lion (upper right), a chequered field (lower right), and a dotted field (lower left), all elaborately rendered with foliate and decorative elements between them. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The outer legend, divided into two concentric bands separated by pellets, reads DA MICHI VIRTVTEM CONTRA HOSTES TVOS DOMINE QUIA TV ADIUTOR MEUS ES, a scriptural invocation translating as 'Grant me strength against Thine enemies, O Lord, for Thou art my helper.' The engraving is of exceptional quality, consistent with the finest Renaissance medal-making tradition of the Joachimsthal workshop. |
