Obverse description In the upper relief field, an allegorical female figure seated on an ornate Art Nouveau throne to the right places a laurel wreath upon the head of a kneeling male figure at center; a standing draped female figure looks on from the left. The Latin motto IN LABORE HONOS appears in the upper field, and the engraver's signature RUDOLF BOSSELT is incised to the lower right of the scene. The lower portion of the plaquette contains a multi-line German award inscription within a decorative border.
