| Reverse description | Incuse square punch mark occupying the majority of the reverse field, divided into irregular compartments by raised ridges forming a rough geometric pattern, a hallmark of early Lydian hammered electrum coinage. The incuse design is the result of the punch used to drive the metal into the obverse die, leaving a deeply recessed, striated impression. No legend, symbol, or secondary type is present. The surface within the incuse shows a granular texture typical of the natural electrum alloy used at the Sardis mint. |
