Obverse description Facing head of Zeus Ammon, turned slightly to the left, rendered in high relief with bold, expressive features. The deity is depicted with a full beard and wearing a wreath of ram's horns and foliage entwined in his hair, alluding to his syncretic identity. The broad, fleshy face with deep-set eyes and heavy brows reflects the archaic-to-classical artistic tradition of northern Greek mints. The portrait fills the flan assertively, with the coarse granular surface of the bronze lending a weathered, patinated appearance. No legend appears in the field.
