Obverse description Armored bust of Frederick II (the Great) facing right, wearing a cuirass adorned with the star of the Order of the Black Eagle at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in a thin, slightly stylized baroque manner characteristic of mid-18th century Prussian coinage. The circular Latin legend runs along the upper periphery, separated from the bust by a toothed inner border. The mint mark W appears to the right of the legend.
