Obverse description Youthful head of Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress tied beneath the chin, rendered in the Hellenistic style typical of issues from the Thracian city of Lysimacheia. The facial features are depicted with naturalistic modelling, the lion's scalp clearly visible over the crown of the head. The field is plain, with no legends or additional devices.

Reverse description Nike, the goddess of victory, standing facing with head turned to the left, her body draped in a long chiton with wings spread. She extends her right arm outward, holding a victor's wreath, while her left arm is drawn close to her body. The ethnic legend ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΕΩΝ is inscribed vertically in the field, divided to the left and right of the central figure, identifying the issuing city of Lysimacheia.
