Obverse description The obverse presents a vivid intaglio-style vignette of two red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) — a full-body specimen at centre-left and a close-up portrait at right — rendered in fine engraved linework against a multicolour underprint of stylised mountain scenery with bamboo and birds in flight. The denomination '170' appears in a green panel at upper right, while the bold 'ZOO' logotype is printed in large grey letterpress at upper left. A Štátna Tlačiareň Cenín emblem is present at lower left, with the 'Naše ZOO' logo at lower right above the serial number.

ZOO Bojnice, a castle-adjacent zoological garden in western Slovakia, has issued its own souvenir "zoo money" series — denominated in Zoolars — as collector pieces and visitor novelties. This note features Ailurus fulgens, the red panda, one of the more charismatic animals in the collection. The printer, Štátna Tlačiareň Cenín, is the same state security press responsible for official Slovak banknotes and government documents, which gives this souvenir piece a level of production quality well above typical zoo ephemera.
