| Obverse description | Jugate bare heads of Gaius and Lucius Caesar facing right, the foremost head slightly overlapping the other in typical dynastic portrait style. The busts are rendered in a Hellenistic provincial manner, with individualized facial features visible despite the small module. The Greek legend ΓΑΙΟΣ ΛΕΥΚΙΟΣ is distributed in the field around the portraits, identifying the two grandsons and heirs of Augustus. |
