Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Frederik VII occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The truncation of the neck is flanked by the mint mark (crown) to the left and the mint master's initials to the right, with the date appearing below. The surrounding legend reads FREDERICVS VII D:G:DANIÆ V:G:REX, identifying the king by the grace of God as ruler of Denmark, the Vandals, and the Goths. The coin's rim is defined by a raised border consistent with the milled coinage of the period.
