Obverse description Central field features the city arms of Lübeck — a vertically striped heraldic shield set within an ornate baroque cartouche. Above the shield, two crossed laurel branches frame the denomination '16 SCHIL / LING' in two lines. The circular legend reads 'COURANT GELDT' to the left and right, with the date '1732' also incorporated into the legend. The mintmaster's initials 'JJJ' appear at the base of the design. The coin's rim is finely milled.
