Reverse description The arms of Nueva Granada displayed centrally: a divided shield bearing in the upper half a pomegranate flanked by cornucopiae and in the lower half a Phrygian cap above a maritime scene with sailing vessels, all surmounted by a condor with wings displayed perching atop the shield. Two national flags are displayed diagonally behind the shield to left and right. A scroll across the shield reads LIBERTAD I ORDEN. The peripheral legend, reading BOGOTA. PESO 25,8064.G. at upper left and right and LEI 0,900 at the base, denotes the mint, standard weight, and fineness of the regular gold issue this pattern was intended to represent. A toothed border frames the entire design.
