Reverse description The arms of Nueva Granada displayed centrally: a vertically divided shield bearing a pomegranate in chief, scales of justice and a cornucopia in the flanking quarters, and a coastal maritime scene in base, surmounted by a condor with wings spread. Two staffs supporting national flags are crossed behind the shield, one to each side. The mint name BOGOTA and the weight and fineness specifications arc around the periphery, with LEI 0,900 appearing in the lower legend. A wreath of laurel and palm adorns the lower border.
