Obverse description Diademed and veiled bust of Queen Philistis facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with elegantly modelled facial features. The queen wears a diadem securing her wavy hair, over which a heavy veil falls in deeply incised, naturalistic folds across the right side of the flan. A small hoop earring is visible at the ear. A grain ear appears to the right of the portrait in the field. The portrait is boldly struck and fills the flan, with a beaded border visible along the upper periphery.
