| Obverse description | Laureate head of a female divinity, identified tentatively as Hera, facing right, rendered in fine archaic-transitional style typical of Aeolian civic coinage. The hair is elaborately dressed and secured beneath a laurel wreath, with loose curls visible at the nape of the neck. The facial features are modelled in high relief with a well-defined jaw and serene expression. The flan edge shows a raised border of dots encircling the type. |

| Reverse description | A winged thunderbolt depicted centrally in the field, its wings spread symmetrically to either side and volutes at each end rendered in crisp relief. Beneath the thunderbolt, a caduceus (kerykeion) is placed vertically, its intertwined serpents and wings clearly delineated. The ethnic inscription ΑΙΟΛΕ appears in Greek letters across the upper field, with an additional letter or monogram visible in the lower field. The overall composition is well-centred on a dark patinated flan with traces of green corrosion. |
