Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head with a prominent crest; hair flows loosely in wavy locks beneath the helmet. The portrait is rendered in a vigorous archaic-to-classical style typical of Aeolian bronze coinage of the 4th century BC. The facial features are boldly modeled, with a strong jaw and defined profile visible against the plain field.
