Obverse description The Togolese coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting two rampant lions supporting a green escutcheon charged with the monogram 'RT', surmounted by two crossed national flags and a ribbon bearing the national motto. The legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE TOGOLAISE' curves along the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination '1500 FRANCS CFA' and the date '2022' are inscribed in the lower field. The motto words 'Travail', 'Liberté', and 'Patrie' appear on the ribbon elements of the arms. The overall design is rendered in a milled finish with a fine beaded inner border framing the composition.

Reverse description A highly detailed, finely engraved full-face portrait of a lion's head with a luxuriant mane fills the interior of a bold pentagonal frame set centrally within the field. The pentagon is surrounded by a series of concentric decorative border elements featuring geometric and linear motifs in an African-inspired style. The word 'THE' appears in small lettering at the base of the pentagonal frame, with the legend 'LION' inscribed in large letters in the lower exergual area beneath the pentagon. A small mint mark or issuer's privy mark is visible to the right of the central pentagon. The entire composition is framed by a beaded outer border.
