Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, depicted centrally with four lions atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra (wheel). The motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs') appears in Devanagari script below the emblem. The legend 'भारत' in Devanagari and 'INDIA' in Latin script arc around the upper field to the left and right respectively. The denomination '₹ 150' is prominently displayed in the lower field.
