Obverse description At centre, the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar (the national emblem of India) is depicted in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. The Devanagari legend भारत arcs along the left and the Latin legend INDIA along the right. Below the emblem, the motto सत्यमेव जयते (Truth Alone Triumphs) appears in Devanagari script. The denomination ₹ 150 is displayed prominently in the lower field in large numerals preceded by the Rupee symbol.
