Reverse description A detailed three-quarter view of the war-damaged ruins of the Humaitá Church occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine stonework detail showing arched doorways, crumbling walls, and partially collapsed bell towers — remnants of the fortified town besieged during the War of the Triple Alliance (1864–1870). The legend RUINAS DE HUMAITA curves along the upper periphery in bold raised Latin lettering, with a beaded border surrounding the entire design. The mirror-polished proof fields provide strong contrast to the finely struck architectural motif.
