Reverse description Full-color reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's masterwork 'Saint John the Baptist' (c. 1513–1516, Musée du Louvre, Paris), rendered in vivid polychrome enamel applied to the mirror-polished silver field. The composition depicts the half-length figure of Saint John emerging from a dark background, his curly hair framing a subtly smiling face turned toward the viewer. His right hand is raised with the index finger pointing upward in a gesture of prophetic proclamation, a hallmark iconographic element of the original painting. The sfumato technique of the original is faithfully evoked through the gradated tonal transitions of the coloring process.
