| Obverse description | Standing allegorical figure of Liberty facing front, draped in classical robes and holding a liberty pole surmounted by a Phrygian cap in her left hand, with her right arm extended. The denomination '15 S.' is inscribed to either side of the figure in the field, flanked by the partial legend 'HAYTI' to the left. The circular legend 'MONNOIE. D'HAYTI.' runs along the upper periphery, and the date '1808' appears in the lower exergual area. The coin's border is decorated with a fine milled or reeded inner rim typical of early Haitian coinage. |
