Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Napoleon I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair, occupying the central field. The peripheral legend NAPOLEONE IMPERATORE E RE (Napoleon, Emperor and King) curves along the upper rim in Latin characters. The date appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by small decorative stops. The portrait style reflects the Neoclassical aesthetic favoured under Manfredini's engraving, with a strong, idealised profile truncated at the shoulder.

Reverse description A large, detailed Iron Crown of Lombardy rendered in bold relief occupies the centre of the field, its distinctive pointed fleurons rising prominently above a jewelled band. The circular legend REGNO D'ITALIA (Kingdom of Italy) curves along the upper periphery. Below the crown, the denomination 15. SOLDI is inscribed in two lines, with the Milan mint mark M beneath. The reverse design is clean and uncluttered, with the crown serving as the dominant heraldic device.
