Obverse description Central double-headed eagle displayed, serving as the imperial arms of Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor. A circular legend in German surrounds the eagle in the field, reading the abbreviated titles of the sovereign as Franz II, Roman Emperor, King of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduke of Austria. The design is rendered in a formal neoclassical style consistent with late Habsburg coinage of the period.
