Obverse description The national emblem of Oman occupies the centre of the field, depicting a khanjar (curved dagger) in its sheath superimposed upon two crossed swords, all rendered in high relief. An Arabic legend arcing above the emblem reads the ruler's name and titles, with a further inscription below. Surrounding the central device is a decorative border composed of alternating crescent moons and six-pointed stars, encircling the entire design within the reeded edge.
