| Obverse description | Central field displays the Mongolian state emblem of 1940–1960 design, featuring a mounted horseman galloping leftward over a landscape, set within a circular ornamental border of traditional Mongolian interlace (ulzii) pattern. Surrounding the central device are four circular medallions positioned at the cardinal points. The Cyrillic legend БҮГД НАЙРАМДАХ МОНГОЛ АРД УЛС, denoting the Mongolian People's Republic, runs along the upper periphery, while the numeral 35ОН appears at the bottom, referencing the 35th anniversary of the Republic.
