Obverse description The obverse features the Turkish State Mint emblem — a crescent and star device — at the apex of the central field, flanked by two crossed wheat ears and an olive branch forming a wreath-like composition. At centre, the denomination '15' appears in large numerals above the legend 'Türk Lirası' and the date '2016', with the mint mark below. The bilingual circular legend reads 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' along the upper rim and 'REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' along the lower rim, all in raised Latin lettering.
