| Reverse description | Central shield of the Montfort arms — depicting a castle or gateway device — set within an ornate cartouche surmounted by a comital crown from which an anchor device is suspended at the apex. The escutcheon is flanked on either side by symmetrical sprays of oak branches bearing acorns and leaves, tied at the base. The date 1678 is inscribed at the bottom of the field with the denomination numeral XV enclosed within the figure, integrating the value into the date. The circular Latin motto legend surrounds the entire composition within a beaded border. |
