| Reverse description | The quartered princely coat of arms of Franz Ludwig, Count Palatine of the Rhine and Duke of Bavaria, displayed centrally within an ornate baroque cartouche surmounted by a princely coronet. The escutcheon bears the heraldic quarterings of the Palatinate-Neuburg line, including the Bavarian lozenges and the Palatine lion, all rendered in fine relief. Elaborate baroque mantling and foliate ornaments frame the shield on either side. The mint master's initials LPH appear within the legend. The encircling Latin legend COM.PALAT.RHE.(L.P.H)NI.BAV.IS.M.D records the issuer's secular dignities and titles. |
